Here we are at the Alamo... sort of.

We forgot to take photos at the Alamo (which was right across from our hotel, by the way)

Luckily, the souvenier photo we bought at Tower of the Americas included this fake shot.

This is the Tower of the Americas. It's one of those towers with observation deck and revolving restaurant. It was built for the 1968 World's Fair, which was called "HemisFair". We took this photo after having dinner in the restaurant.

This is a view from the tower restaurant. We had a nice dinner there. While we were having dinner a thunderstorm started and we saw some cool lightning. We tried to capture it on camera but no luck.

Here we are at the tower observation deck earlier in the day. Parts of it were so windy it nearly lifted us off our feet. Notice how Dave's sleeves are billowing and his glasses are bouncing around.

See the white scarf stuffed in my tote bag? I later found the scarf on the floor as we were walking along. The wind had evidently picked it up out of my bag and carried it forward out of sight.

This isn't a very flattering picture of me, but you can see what I mean about how windy it was. That wind was really fun ... almost like an amusement park ride.

Here's the souvenier photo. This is a fake shot also, but at least we were somewhere near this background when the photo was taken.
